You must have made tomato chutney, but today we are making tomato-mint chutney with a new twist.

- 2 tomatoes
- 1 onion chopped
- a pinch asafoetida
- 6-8 curry leaves
- 4 dry red chilies
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 cup mint
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 1 tsp tamarind
- 3/4 tsp mustard
- 1 tbsp chana dal
- 1 tbsp urad dal
- salt to taste
- floor as required
Tomato-Mint Chutney Method
First of all, put oil in a pan on medium flame and keep it for heating.
Add gram dal, urad dal, fenugreek seeds, cumin and dry red chillies and fry it.
Now add onion, garlic and ginger and fry it lightly.
After this add tomatoes, tamarind and salt and cook covered till they become soft.
After the tomatoes become soft, add mint and green coriander to it and turn off the gas and keep it to cool down.
After the mixture cools down, put it in a grinder jar and make a paste of it.
Take out the paste in a bowl.
Heat oil in a pan on medium heat.
Add mustard, asafetida and fenugreek to it and temper it.
Pour the prepared tempering on the chutney.
Tomato-mint chutney is ready.
